Steve, the slamit mode (which just disables windows keys, not ALL keys, if I understand correctly) does serve an interesting function in that it allows you to bash away at the keyboard to nudge and bump the table without the risk of the windows keys activating by accidental press. The idea of incremental nudging based on how many keys you hit is clever thinking.

However, in saying that, it unfortunately does mimic the actions of a virus even though the programmers assure us it isnt (Vitomir, please release the source code for trape.exe and set some minds at rest). My feeling is that the slamit mode is not as important to gameplay as the programmers feel it should be with most players probably more used to the idea of pressing a single key to hit left or right or up. If it were me, I would be ripping that feature out of the game even though I know Vitomir is very attached to it, he did tell me that it was one of the first features that they thought of for the game. If it cant be fixed so that its not given a false positive by a virus checker then its doing more damage to the game's reputation than good, even if its no fault of their own.

I get all that Gravy..But that doesn't give me a working game..
I'm sure when it first came out the multiple key bashing was to be a cool feature, but in reality, people either want to play with their usual "One button" on a PC OR with their specific setup on a homebrew Cabinet as you know.

We pinhead, are maniac in recreating the REAL experience of pinballing. These fine guys here should see our comment as ingredient for a winning receipe. NEWS FLASH SLAMIT GUYS : we are more than 100k person visiting the various PINBALL EMULATION forum each years..myself alone had 37k download of LunchTakeOUt :)

All I want is actually fire up this thing properly with my mind at ease. I notice that the situation is doing not much good presently, and since the video showed me it seemed to be a good product, I still want to beleive I could eventually say good word about it. :P

When I bought it from steam in the first place, yes. but I thought that the steam engine was a little too invasive for my taste so I removed it. then I bought it again last week to get into it a little more, but no luck, bigscore.exe crash again and again. even if I install the patch.

The Steam version does not need to be run through Steam. In fact, I just copied and pasted my installed directory to my cab and it works fine (no install).

I hope you can figure out a way to get it working.

Steve,

Can you post your computers configuration and operating system info?
Also do you know how to create a bug report file.. it would certainly help a lot.

I suspect on operating system issue of some kind.. as you have explained that the game starts.. but the crashes when you press 'S'

Best,
V.

Steve,

Help us out..
This is one of the cleanest bugs, as you can make it happen every time!
Could you start the game with bug tracing options and send us those files afterwards.

We could implement the fix in soon-to-come v1.3 patch and release

So, what's the progress on a fix for this? I have two copies of the game (Steam and Kokakiki), and I still can't play either one because of the Trap.exe bug. Is this just a dead game for those who have the error or what?
